The story thus far
Over eight centuries had passed since the end of the Great War and the sudden infliction of Dark Paralysis, a terrible slumber that affected over half of the population trapping them into a sleep from which they could not awaken. People entered into the Dark Paralysis and never came out of it - living, growing old, and dying trapped in slumber. Some were even born already in the dark grasps of the unescapable sleep.
Then suddenly, everyone woke up. This sudden change excited some and scared others. Entire wars were started over the fear of what this could mean. And the tales told by those that woke up, of another world similar yet different from the one of reality ruled by the dark god Zodo, of their lives there, sent chills down everyone's spines. The world held its breath for something terrible to come, something they could not understand yet all felt.
Thirty years passed since the Great Awakening before the darkness to come finally came. An event that came to be known as the Great Collapse, where the very dead returned to the world possessed by souls that only lived in the dream and the magic of the dream world collided with the world of reality. Terrible magic storms spawned, crossing the lands and bringing ruin in their wake and terrible blasts of magic tore great scars into the landscape.
Its been twelve years since. The world is still trying to recover from the tragedies of the Great Collapse. Nations have fallen apart and magic storms still roam the land. A terrible darkness seems to be just over the horizon, an unmentionable fear with the prophesy of the return of the dark god. Nor'Ova, the world of magic, has become a world of hidden fears and silent screams…
